Get a technical introduction into the installation, operation and management of SAP Solutions on System i platforms. This course targets an audience of pre-skilled technical staff with knowledge of either System i architecture or SAP basis architecture. Discuss many aspects from basic SAP-System i concepts to installation, operation, Database (DB) management, backup and restore, performance management, and tips for basic trouble shooting. This course offers a combination of lectures and hands-on sessions.

This course is part of SAPs education curriculum and also part of the certification path for basis consultants.

This is an intermediate technical course for Information Technology (IT) service professionals, IBM employees, IBM Business Partners, clients, Consultant and Systems Integrators (CSI), and other individuals who plan, implement, operate, or manage SAP solutions on System i.

You should have working knowledge of at least one operating system. You should also have an understanding of System i operating concept and a basic knowledge of relational databases.

You should complete:

SAP Application Platform Fundamentals (SAPTEC)
or have the equivalent knowledge of SAP Fundamentals
