This three-day course provides participants with in-depth knowledge that covers the technical aspects of the PeopleSoft Time and Labor application. The class focuses primarily on the Time Administration process and rules creation. Class participants gain a full understanding of the functionality before learning the technical aspects. The flexibility of the rules engine addresses the requirements of virtually all rules.

Participants will gain invaluable hands-on knowledge in creating rules using the delivered templates, modifying rule templates, and using the on-line rule creation tools. Participants will also create several rule programs comprising the different types of rules. Then they will process the rules through Time Administration. In addition, participants will create Application Engine programs and develop user exits directly in the rules application library. This class is essential for any technical members of a PeopleSoft Time and Labor implementation team.

Learn To:

Develop process flows in the Time and Labor application
Create template-built rules
Set up Time and Labor tables for implementation
Modify or create an existing rule using online tools, set up and view trace files, and use recommended troubleshooting procedures
Run the Time Administration batch process
Create Application Engine programs, and develop user exits directly in the Rules Application Library
