Project Management Fundamentals

The course combines a mixture of theory and several practical exercises based on a case study which is used throughout the week. In addition, for the more time consuming areas, Microsoft Project will be used to demonstrate live examples of a Work Breakdown Structure and network diagrams. Students will be provided with templates of the major documents used by project managers, the Project Charter, the Project Scope Statement, the Project Management Plan as well as worksheets for the hands-on exercises. PM Fundamentals is based on the principles and theory of the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Third Edition, published by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
